Leading international ports organisations head up the foreign Speakers Panel at TRANSTEC 2008

The International Association of Ports and Harbours, the European Sea Ports Organisation and the International Labour Organisation (UN) lead the foreign Speakers who will share the platform at the Ports Plenary Conference with the leaders of the Russian ports industries chief administrators including Rosmorport State Ports Agency, Russian Railways and the Co-ordination Council for Trans-Siberian Transportation. An Official Delegation is now also confirmed from the Shanghai International Port Group, China.

TRANSTEC 2008 NEWS UP-DATE – 23 JULY 2008

Russian Railways JSC confirms that RZhD will participate with a large-scale exhibition stand and their First Vice-President, Mr. Vadim Morozov, will present a key-note Paper to the Ports Conference. Russian Railways is heavily investing to upgrade the rail links to the major ports throughout Russia in response to the massive increases in export and import cargoes.
City Government of St. Petersburg - the Chairman of the Committee for Transport & Transit Policy, Mr. N. A. Asaul, will present a key-note Address with focus on "The Future Development of the Gateway Ports around the Big Seaport of St. Petersburg".
